Review Team –Mr Conroy, Mr Walster, Mrs Davis, Ms Gandlgruber, Mr Mulcahy

Endorsed by Prairiewood High School P&C Association, 2008

This revised policy has a positive focus for students and is designed to reflect each studentŐs participation and achievements (as well as non-participation) in teaching and learning programs,
extra curricular activities, and in relation to other experiences and opportunities offered beyond
the classroom.

Ľ       The focus is on the positive not the negative.

Ľ       The responsibility for behaviour is with the student

Ľ       Movement up and down levels is based on achievement of goals not on amounts of time.

Ľ       Expectations are constantly reinforced

Ľ       Progression up the merit levels is determined by ÔbetterŐ rather than ÔmoreŐ participation in multiple extra curricular activities.

Ľ       Positive levels also include tangible rewards – especially for boys

Ľ       Students are not rewarded for meeting minimum expectations
